On a charming little square, the church of La Merced was built in 1540 by the religious order of the same name. The portico, quite sober, is surrounded by small columns, and the limestone facade is quite rough. Inside, the main altar in Baroque style is very finely worked and covered with gold leaf, some paintings of great value adorn the side aisles, representing the Virgin of the Merced, Saint Pedro Nolasco, and many others.
